Just a really quick one because I'm so sick and tired of looking at that most recent journal entry on my page, written while I was still in job corps. Shit, that one was written almost two years before THIS one. Well, I'm still with Zach. We left job corps together and moved to Portland, where we now live happily in a cozy one-bedroom apartment. I suppose if we weren't so happy together I'd have more poetry to submit, but those are just the breaks I guess. My biggest contributor to creativity was always emotional angst and alcoholism, two vices to which I was once addicted. These days, however, are comprised of smoking pot and spending time with my dearest love, all the while struggling to stay afloat in a crumbling economy. Gotta stay positive though, as lame as that may sound to the poet inside, and it's easy with him.
I just submitted my newest song though. I wrote it almost a year ago (maybe more, now that I think about it) but I never thought to put it here until just now. All my other songs are here, anyway, and since I learned to play guitar, songs are all I do.
Anyway, thanks for reading if you did, and if you haven't before, feel free to check out my stuff. It's pretty much a series of time capsules from my rocky teenage years, but if it helps to instill a little melancholy or nostalgia, then I'm pleased to have provided it.
